Space is a terrifying place because it hides some of humanity’s deepest and most fundamental mysteries. Every time we send astronauts into space, they bring back unique data that helps further scientific inquiry. But when we focus on man’s achievements, we often overlook the crucial part that machines play in these explorations. So, today, we’re going to talk about two important pieces of equipment that have made a big difference in space exploration, matter of fact still do. Decades have passed since these two robots were sent into orbit, yet they continue to amaze with the discoveries they uncover. Some of it, obviously, is not good for us.
Let’s take a peek at the Voyager I and II saga, as the spacecraft discovered something terrifying in the cosmos above our heads. It is the link of the Voyager II with a mysterious energy source or perhaps aliens. What was it? And why was Voyager completely shut off from the earth for about a year?
